Work as a liaison with the Production Supervisor and Production Manager in the training of new employees and overall operations of production

Line duties- Start Up

Check for correct components on the lines

Sign off on carton and can codes

Monitor and assist with start up

Line duties-End of Shift

Print Schedules for next shift including amounts left for each run

Print and distribute cases produced sheets

Other Duties:

•Set daily production goals with the production supervisors for your shift

•Keep a sense of urgency with supervisors to meet daily production goals and get lines back up and running when they go down

•Make yourself visible on the production floor to monitor productivity and be available for employee ideas and suggestions

•Initiate necessary disciplinary action in your department with guidance from Human Resources

•Coordinate activities for the production employees to insure maximum quality, productivity and efficiency

•Assign staff to the appropriate areas to maintain maximum productivity

•Establish and maintain good and effective time management skills within the department

•Maintain housekeeping practices in the department to insure department is audit ready at all times

•Mediate any conflicts that may arise within the department

•Coordinate the training agenda for the production department to insure the safety of employees and quality of product produced

•Communicate the workload expectations for your shift in the production department

•Monitor, coach and train all employees in the production department on GMP's and SOP's

•Monitor department to insure that company policies and procedures are being followed

•Maintain production SOP training records

•Maintain good communication with other departments to insure optimum productivity

•Monitor workforce requirements and maintain the number of employees needed for efficient operation of department

•Comply with the standards of the current level of SQF Systems for general food processing and trained in all required food safety / quality programs including but not limited to Personal Hygiene, Allergens, Sanitation, HACCP, Organic Processing, Food Defense, and Security and Threat Awareness

•Responsible for reporting any food safety, quality and employee safety issues to management

Qualifications:

Must be a self starter, motivated, resourceful individual with good communication skills, and good computer skills. Ability to read and understand work instructions. Ability to bend, kneel, balance, reach, stand, push, pull and lift. Ability to move wrist, hands and fingers. Able to climb stairs and / or production stairways.Default content
