Maintenance/Mechanic

Description:
Keep production lines operational with the least amount of down time as possible.
Duties:
- Verifying at the start of the shift that the production line is ready for operation, including: line air pressure, emergency gas alarm on and functioning, line shut off, gasser shut off,
- air valve shut off, auxiliary blower on, gas house exhaust ventilation on.
- Verifying the following prior to production:
- box code set up per MI, check weigher set for high/low rejects, vacuum set up per MI,
- propellant weights and type correct per MI,
- gas heads aligned, crimper depth and diameter set up per MI, crimp head alignment accurate,
- fill weights set up per MI, filler head alignment accurate, filler head not dripping, rails on line adjusted properly, belts and tracking clean and functional, propellant lines checked for leaks, sample propellant cans sent to lab for analysis.
- Adjusting/repairing machinery as needed.
- Perform maintenance per maintenance schedule.
Job Requirements:
Must be a self starter, motivated, resourceful individual with good communication skills. Ability to read and understand work instructions. Ability to bend, kneel, balance, reach, stand, push, pull and lift. Ability to move the wrist, hands and fingers. Able to lift 50 pounds. Ability to climb a ladder. Able to climb stairs and/or production stairways.
Required Education Level:
- High School diploma or GED helpful.
- Previous aerosol line experience.
